- Construction of ground bearing reinforced concrete slabs for: Oxygen Tanks & Ancillary Equipment
- CT Scanner Bases (including removal & palletising of existing block paving)
- Removal of external concrete staircase & construction of reinforced concrete emergency escape ramp from Hall Q.
- Bolting down the oxygen tank & ancillary equipment base-plates to the reinforced concrete foundations.
- Sealing of cracks & concrete repairs to floors in Halls A, B, C & M prior to laying vinyl floor coverings.
- Removal of trees & shrubs from soft-landscaped area adjacent to the Goods Yard entrance on Springfield Avenue (for positioning of the first Oxygen Tank Base – subsequently cancelled)
- Removal of bollards (6no) from the front of the Royal Hall
- Removal of bollards (11no) from the Junction of Ripon Road & Kings Road (in front of Hall M)
- Concrete repairs / levelling of 2no door thresholds in Hall Q
- White-Lining (Pro-Line) to:
- Demarcate footpaths around CT Scanner & Oxygen Tank bases
- Ambulance bays
- Arrange for checking & jetting/cleaning (Pro-Jet) of external drainage including manholes, gullies & channel drainage systems. Lifted all accessible covers to inspect followed by high pressure water jetting & flow testing
- Service yards within the Conference Centre running between Springfield Avenue (In) & Kings Road (Out)
- Full external perimeter of the Conference Centre
- Channel Drain in front of Hall C Roller Shutter Door (Service Road Entrance)
- Clean out gully in Hall E & flow test on completion
- All covers which were inspected/cleaned were identified with spray paint – foul water covers were marked with red spray and surface water drains were marked with blue spray.
- Access to internal drains was very limited due to floor coverings, a lack of drawings, and movements by other contractors
- Checking and flushing of accessible manholes & gullies in the Mortuary
- Saw-cutting & breaking out of the existing tarmac in the service yard to form road crossings for dropping temporary power cables (from generators) below finished road level (plated over by others).
