AMRC Factory 2050, University of Sheffield

The AMRC Factory 2050 (Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre) is a component manufacturing facility for collaborative research. It has an area of around 6,730 sq m, and is constructed largely from glass. It is capable of rapidly switching production between different high-value components and one-off parts. It is a joint initiative of the University of Sheffield and US aerospace giant Boeing.
