Apprentice Diaries – Meet Josh
Studying a course in Civil Engineering at University, Josh Fallon is a Trainee Engineer who joined our team last month and is now based at one of our Ministry of Defence projects, HMP Highpoint in Newmarket. Read on to hear Josh’s thoughts on his journey so far and why he chose a career in the construction industry.
Why did you choose this vocation?
“I chose this line of work because I love the process of construction and seeing things come together. I also wanted to be able to mix with a variety of people so that I could learn as much as possible on site. I’m interested in behind the scenes of how a building site operates.”
“I enjoy the responsibility of my role very much. It is a good mixture of technical and practical work. Everybody is friendly and helpful. It feels great to be learning new skills whilst getting earning at the same time.”

- Being able to work within a strict timeframe

What do you enjoy learning about most?
- The ins and outs of engineering processes
