The Board of Moortown Group Limited is fully committed to achieving and maintaining the highest standard of health, safety and welfare for its employees. It is also committed to the creation of a safe working environment at all times.
The Directors recognise their responsible for managing health and safety within the Company’s activities. Working safely is a condition of employment for all employees and sub-contractors as we strive to create a working environment that is free from Injuries and accidents.
Health and Safety is a line management responsibility. Every employee and sub-contractor is responsible for his or her own safety as well as the safety of their colleagues. They are also responsible for the safety of all employees or sub-contractors reporting to them, for all other persons on our premises and sites and for others affected by our activities.
The Directors of Moortown are committed to the implementation of a Health and Safety Policy across all of its operations:
They shall
• Resource and plan policy implementation
• Ensure that our safety management system is reviewed regularly and is easily available to all persons who may need access to it
• Monitor, measure and review performance so as to learn from experience and to ensure continuous improvement
• Be prepared to take disciplinary action against any individual or sub-contractor who contravenes the Company’s safety requirements
• Ensure that, through training, coaching and advice, all employees are competent to undertake their duties and that health and safety is never compromised for other objectives.
• Senior Management of the organisation are aware of mental health and stress matters at work and will promote good mental health, support those that need it and challenge the stigma.
• Lead on the challenges met through the main business risks, to develop sustainable solutions to protect those that affected by our operations.
They require that all managers
• Comply, as a minimum, with all health and safety regulations, industry standards and codes of practice that are relevant to our activities
• Assess in advance and continually review, the health and safety risk implications of all our operations, in order to implement and maintain safe systems of work
• Do not allow any employee or sub-contractor to undertake a task unless it can be undertaken safely
The Directors will report on health and safety progress annually
