Moortown Group Limited recognise the importance of providing solutions to the industry which enables all projects to maximise their life cycle and in doing so protect the environment within which they are situated.
We are dedicated to conducting all our activities in a manner, which protects and safeguards the environment. To this end Moortown is committed to the prevention of pollution, compliance with all relevant environmental legislation and regulations, and continual improvement of our management system and environmental performance.
We promote all stakeholders to take a positive interest in the protection of the environment.
As a progressive and forward thinking business we realise the importance of sustainability and are committed to the promotion of best practice principles in this regard. Every scheme provides its own challenges and should therefore be reviewed on its own merits, however the same basic processes can be applied as a starting point for driving change.
Some of the current elements Moortown have adopted include:
Recycling all waste oil from plant servicing carried out by Moortown Plant which is brought back to the workshop and put into a specially designed burner which generates heat and
reduces the emissions being sent out.
In September 2011 Solar Photovolteaic Cells were installed on office roof which has seen a reduction in the amount of electricity used and in doing so has reduced the amount of Carbon that the business has been generating.
Installation of a water recycling tank within the office yard to reduce water consumption. It is our policy to provide all timber from sustainable backgrounds that has the relevant chain of custody in place as proof of this and where possible materials and labour are sourced locally.
